Donald A. Thibault age 54 years died in his Rehoboth, Massachusetts home on Sunday, November 14, 2010 after a courageous struggle with cancer. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on October 19, 1956, he graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1975. Mr. Thibault served his country in the United States Army. Later he attended Northeastern University in Boston. He has been a resident of Rehoboth for the past year and a half, moving from Attleboro where he spent 8 years, and he had previously lived in Walpole, Massachusetts.

He worked at Northeastern University as a Superintendent for 8 years.

Mr. Thibault was a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society, the The Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks in Attleboro, and had previously belonged to The Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks in Norwood.

He enjoyed spending time at White Horse Beach, was an avid Red Sox fan, had a love of knowledge and learning, had a great love of history, and loved all types of music. Most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and the sound of their laughter.

Beloved husband of Patricia L. (Grillo) Thibault. Loving father of Jessica Thibault of Cumberland, RI, Samantha Thibault of Bridgewater, Michelle Thibault of Rehoboth, Philip Thibault of Rehoboth, and Valerie Thibault of Rehoboth. Step father of Melissa and her husband James Corbin of New Bern, NC, and Corey George of Upton. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas Thibault and Alexis Correia and Amelia and Charlotte Corbin. Devoted son of the late George A. and Barbara J. (MacDonald) Thibault. Brother of Jeanne T. and her husband Sean Smith of Walpole, Joyce T. and her husband John Gubata of Walpole, Paul A. Thibault of New York, and the late Edward J. Thibault. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Catherine of Siena Church Washington Street (Route 1A) at Nahatan Street Norwood on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, November 19, 2010 from 4-8 PM at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
