Dianne Marie (Girvan) Collins, age 74, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 10, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Doris A. (Walker) Girvan. She was raised in the Roslindale area of Boston and graduated from Saint Mary's High School in Brookline with the Class of 1965.
Dianne married her beloved husband, Francis C. "Frank" Collins, in October of 1969. Together, they made their home in Norwood, Massachusetts, where they welcomed their daughter Karen. As Karen grew up, Dianne took a position with Taylor Freezer of New England, working as a receptionist. In 2008 Dianne settled in Walpole, Massachusetts, and eight years later, she retired from Taylor in 2016, after many years of dedicated service.
Throughout her life, Dianne was an avid camper, taking many trips with Frank to their favorite campground, Jellystone Park in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. She also loved spending a day picking blackberries, enjoying the outdoors and sunshine. Back at home, Dianne enjoyed some quiet time, reading or working on one of her puzzles. Most of all, Dianne was dedicated to her family and especially looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren.

Loving mother of Karen M. Legere and her husband, Jay, of Wrentham.
Cherished grandmother of Shawn Legere and Alyssa Legere both of Wrentham.
Devoted sister of George Girvan of Attleboro, Doris Meagher of Plainville, Michael Girvan of Attleboro, Deborah Backoff of NH, Thomas Girvan of North Attleboro, Donna LeClerc of North Attleboro, the late Dennis Girvan, the late Dorothy Morin, and the late Paul Girvan.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Dianne's Life Celebration on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
