Diane Patricia (Coughlin) Mitsock, 56, died on Friday, April 3rd, 2015, after a life long battle with cystic fibrosis. She was at her home in Milford, MA, surrounded by her loving family. She had also lived in Michigan, Colorado, Foxboro, Gloucester and Marlboro. She was the wife of Mark E. Mitsock.
Diane was a 1976 graduate of Walpole High School and attended the University of Maine in Orono. Diane worked for Bechtel in Colorado and on the Boston Central Artery Tunnel Project (AKA The Big Dig). She had been a project manager at Staples since 1998. She was working full time right up until a few weeks ago.
Diane loved the ocean and while she lived in Gloucester, MA, she volunteered as a crew member on the schooners, Adventure and Thomas E. Lannon. She also sailed on schooners in Maine and the Caribbean. She went on several travel adventures with her husband and family. Diane loved spending summer days on the island of North Haven, ME.
The daughter of Thomas J. Coughlin of Walpole and the late Alice M. Raymond Coughlin, Diane was born in Norwood, MA on Father's Day- June 15, 1958.
Besides her husband and father, Diane is survived by her sister, Eileen M. St. James and her husband, Dana, of Mansfield, and a brother, Thomas J. Coughlin Jr. of Stow; her step-daughters, Katelyn Mitsock of Brighton, Christina Mitsock of Quincy and Emily Mitsock of Hopkinton; her nephews Andrew and Kyle St. James, Edward Coughlin, nieces, Julianna and Tess St. James, and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Diane's Life Celebration on Saturday, April 11th, 2015 from 1pm-5pm, in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common St., Walpole, MA. Interment will be this summer at the Fuller Cemetery, North Haven, Maine. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation MA/RI Chapter, 220 North Main Street, Suite 104, Natick, MA 01760.
