Diane M. (Ingle) Mancini, age 78, passed away in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Monday, December 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Leeds, England on April 20, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Bibley) Ingle. She was raised and educated in England, before immigrating to the United States of America, where she quickly found work as a nanny.
Diane met her soon to be husband, Peter Mancini, by chance one evening as Mosley’s on the Charles in Dedham, while they were both attending a dance. She and Peter were married on April 23, 1966 and made their home together in Walpole, Massachusetts, where Diane raised her family. In addition to raising and caring for her children, Diane also worked at various businesses in Walpole as a seamstress, including Swenson’s Mens Store in Walpole Center. She later continued working as a seamstress in her own home.
Stemming from her years working as a seamstress, Diane enjoyed knitting, creating beautiful baby sweaters. She also enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. Most of all she loved being surrounded by her family, always looking forward to the holidays, when she could cook a big meal for all to enjoy. Diane was delighted at the birth of her grandchildren, truly treasuring each moment she spent with them.
