Dennis W. Zablowski

Dennis W. Zablowski, age 68, passed away in his Norwood, Massachusetts home on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on May 22, 1949, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Shugay) Zablowski. He was raised in East Walpole, Massachusetts and graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1967. He continued his education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1972. After graduation, Dennis returned to Massachusetts, settling in the Norwest Wood neighborhood in Norwood. He took a position with the Town of Norwood's CETA Program, assisting high school students find jobs after graduation. In 2005, Dennis took a position with Riverside in Norwood, working as an office manager and retired 5 years later in 2010.

Dennis married his wife, Mary O'Brien, in Saint Anne's Church in Readville on September 11, 1982. The young couple made their home together in Dennis' mothers childhood home in Norwood and Dennis went on to take a position with Rolm as a software engineer. Dennis was overjoyed when he welcomed his son, Paul, in 1989 and a year later, his daughter, Larissa, in 1990.

In his spare time, Dennis enjoyed everything science fiction, movies, television, and books. In his younger years, he enjoyed caring for his vegetable and flower gardens around his home. Dennis took some culinary arts classes and enjoyed venturing out to try new foods.

Loving father of Paul M. Zablowski and his wife Hang Nguyen of Brookline and Larissa K. Zablowski and James Guigno of Arlington.
Brother of Diane Farrell of Walpole.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Dennis's Life Celebration on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4-8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
