Debra L. Lee

Debra (Kaszanek) Lee “Debbi” of Walpole passed away in hospice in Milton on February 22, 2025. Born in Boston on June 13, 1971, Debbi was the daughter of John Kaszanek and the late Barbra (Ryan) Kaszanek of Walpole. Cherished wife of Robert Lee and loving mother to Alexander Lee both of Walpole. An amazing sister and travel companion to her sister Annie Kaszanek of Stamford, CT and dear sister to John Kaszanek and his wife Christal of Lakewood, CO.

Debbi graduated from Walpole High school class of 1989 and went on to graduate from Rhode Island College. She grew up in East Walpole where she developed her passions for color guard, leading the Brigadettes and everything 80’s. She always looked forward to Walpole’s Night before the fourth and riding in the fire engine parade.

Over the years, she worked in many places in the music industry, her first being at Good Vibrations in the Walpole Mall. She also worked at Bristol Square Café, Walpole Fire Department, Boch Honda and Walpole public schools where she enjoyed serving meals to elementary school students.

Debbi married her husband Rob in Las Vegas in 2002 and gave birth to their son, Alex in 2004. Her lifelong passion for travel brought her all over the world. This included dozens of spots in the US, Canada, England, Greece, Turkey, and Australia where she went with her husband and sister in 1999. Nothing stopped Debbi from pursuing her dreams whether that be traveling or meeting numerous celebrities with the music industry including her favorite band Duran Duran. They’ve most certainly lost their biggest fan.

Debbi’s pursuit to live life to the fullest continued even after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and continued to fight a 19 year long battle with her beautiful smile and never a complaint.

Survived by her husband Rob, son Alex, father John Kaszanek, sister Annie, brother John and his wife Christal. Her mother and father in-law Tina and Roy Lee of Walpole. Roy Lee and his wife Lisa of Mansfield, Richard Lee and his wife Jennifer Ito of Walpole, Meredith O’Malley and her husband James of North Attleboro. Fun aunt to Sammy and Danielle Lee, Jack and Max O’Malley. Debbi is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Norwood Elks, 152 Winslow Avenue Norwood, MA 02062, on March 30 from 2 – 6 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to JB’s Keys to DMD. An organization dedicated to raising awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, it was a cause close to Debbi’s heart. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 446 Dover, MA 02030.
