Debra M. Dugdale, age 69, passed away on February 7, 2025, at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 4, 1955, she was the only daughter of Richard and Barbara Ann (Mazza) Marchand. She was the apple of her father's eye. Debbie was raised in Walpole, where she attended local public schools.
Debbie graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1973. After graduation, she attended the Henry O. Peabody School for Hairdressing. She could often be found cutting and styling family members’ and friends’ hair in her home.
In high school, Debbie would be introduced to a gentleman named Tom by her cousin Bimbo (Bob) Thomas. She would later marry Thomas A. Dugdale on October 21, 1978, in the Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole. The newlyweds made their married home in East Walpole, where Debbie would take on the role of homemaker, decorating their house with her favorite unicorn collectibles.
Debbie found her true calling in life when she became a mother. She loved the time she spent with her kids, planning adventures to the beach, the zoo, and to amusement parks like Canobie Lake Park and Storyland. She was the fun and laid back Mom, with lots of their friends looking forward to hanging out at their house. As her children grew older, she earned the title of Nana, which filled her with joy, especially when it happened twice in a matter of months.
Family was the most important thing in the world to Debbie. She was close with her father until the day he passed, taking a piece of her heart with him. She was a devoted and selfless mother, who would do anything and everything for her children. An only child, Debbie had a close relationship with many of her cousins especially Patti Marchand. She looked forward to any chance to be with her family, whether it was a coffee and conversation, a birthday, or at her annual Christmas Eve party that she hosted every year. For family and friends that she couldn't see often, she stayed connected online, keeping in touch over the various social media platforms over the years.
