Deborah L. (Sherer) DiPerna, age 58, passed away peacefully in her Walpole, Massachusetts home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 29, 2015. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 22, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Frances E. (Whitehead) Sherer. In 1975 she graduated from Saint Anselm High School in Swissvale, PA and continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh.
In 1977, she met the love of her life, Gary DiPerna of Penn Hills, PA. In 1979 they were married and moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Debbie and Gary returned to the United States, residing in Jamaica Plain in 1982. In 1989, Debbie and Gary settled in Walpole, Massachusetts to raise their two young children.
While living in Walpole, Debbie took a position with Arbella Insurance in Quincy, beginning her 20 yearÂlong career, most recently serving as a manager with the IT Help Desk.
Debbie enjoyed staying active, she was an enthusiastic hiker and loved the trips she took to Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, and Acadia National Parks, in addition, she enjoyed taking walks, especially around Back Cove in Portland, Maine, as well as riding her bicycle. She had a lifelong passion for music, maintaining all of the records from her teenage years. As an avid reader, she always had her Kindle nearby and especially enjoyed reading while at the beach. Debbie loved both dogs and birds, having them as pets throughout her life. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and championship apple pie.
Most of all, Debbie loved the time that she spent with her family. She enjoyed vacationing in Florida with her husband, Gary. In 2012, she was delighted to see her family grow with the birth of her granddaughter, Charlotte. Debbie loved spending time at her second home in Portland, Maine with her family and especially her granddaughter.

Sister of Diane (Edward) Augusty of Greensburg, PA, Carol Martin of Ligonier, PA, Janice (Thomas) Cerra of Latrobe, PA, Thomas (Donna) Sherer of Wilbraham, and Jeanne Hines of Ligonier, PA.
Sister Âin Âlaw of Donna Longo of Penn Hills, PA.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Deborah's Life Celebration on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 4Â8PM and Friday, July 3, 2015 from 9Â9:30AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Vernon Cancer Center at Newton Wellesley Hospital, 2014 Washington Street, Newton, MA 02462.
