David Alan Hutchins

July 28, 1938 — November 17, 2010

Mr. David Alan Hutchins age 72 years died in The Stanley Tippett House in Needham, Massachusetts on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on July 28, 1938, he was the son of Kenneth G. and Sadie (Hill) Hutchins. He graduated Walpole High School with the Class of 1956. He entered into the United States Navy and served on the USS Albany.

He has been a resident of Jamica Plain for the past 30 years, moving there from Walpole.

Mr. Hutchins was the owner of the Donald J. Young Company located on Main Street in Walpole, for the past 21 years.

David is a Member of the USS Albany Association, the South Shore Woodturners Association, the Walpole High School Alumni Association, and the Azure Lodge A.F. & A.M. Walpole.

Beloved husband of S. Shirley (Brauneis) Hutchins. Loving father of Kenneth A. and his wife Rosalyn Hutchins of Tallahasse, Florida, Kimberly J. Hutchins of Wrentham, and James H. Hutchins of Walpole. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca Hutchins and the late Brandy Leigh Hutchins Brother of Kenneth G. Hutchins, Jr. and his wife Priscilla of Northboro, Sharon Conley of Las Vegas, NV, the late James H. Hutchins, USN and the late Laurel J. Hutchins. Also survived by many loving nieces , nephews, cousins, uncle and friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service that will be held in the Epiphany Episcopal Church 62 Front Street Walpole on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 11AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 2 pm to 6 PM with a Masonic Service at 5 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private.
