Daniel Perrault

August 2, 1917 — February 4, 2017

Daniel Perrault, age 99, passed away peacefully in his Walpole, Massachusetts home on Saturday, February 4, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in North Tiverton, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Albert and Laura (Leddeux) Perrault. His parents passed at a young age, after which, he lived with his grandparents. Daniel was educated in Tiverton and went on to graduate from Business School. Following graduation, Daniel enlisted in the United States Navy to proudly serve his country during World War II.

While on active duty, Daniel met his wife to be, Nellie E. Wertz, who was also on active duty in the Navy. They were married on January 1, 1946 in Washington, DC and were discharged later that same year. The young couple returned to Rhode Island, making their home in Providence and Daniel took a position with IBM, running the data punch machines. Daniel and Nellie returned to his hometown of Tiverton, living with his brother, before settling into their own home in Providence. Daniel climbed the ranks at IBM to become a manager, overseeing the punch machines and the young family moved to Barrington. After spending 17 years in Barrington, Daniel and Nellie moved to Walpole, Massachusetts in 1967 and Daniel took a position with Honeywell, working as a Systems Analyst.

After his retirement in 1984, Daniel enjoyed tending to his house and yard. He loved tending to his vegetable garden and making sure his yard was always beautiful, planting flowers all around. He was very handy and could fix just about anything and enjoyed taking on various projects throughout his home.
