D. Susan "Sue" Frangiosa

D. Susan “Sue” Frangiosa, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on August 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth M. and Helen C. (Boyle) Deane.  Sue was raised in Westwood, Massachusetts, where as a young girl, she rose through the ranks of the Girl Scouts, earning the highest honor of the Gold Award.  Following her graduation from Westwood High School in 1964, Sue took a position with Factory Mutual in Norwood, working as an administrative assistant.

Sue married her beloved husband, Michael A. Frangiosa, on September 4, 1965, at the First Baptist Church in Norwood, Massachusetts.  The young couple made their home in Walpole, first on East Street, before building their house on Winter Street in 1967.  After welcoming her children, Sue took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.  Once her daughters were enrolled in school, Sue returned to her career, taking a position with Tire Specialists in Walpole, where she served as the bookkeeper and administrative assistant.

Back at home, Sue loved tending to her flowers and bushes that she strategically placed around her yard, eventually taking over her husband's vegetable gardens to make her design perfect.  Her green thumb inspired her to take a job with Walpole Floral and Garden Center, helping in the greenhouses and designing flower arrangements for her clients.  Quite often, Sue brought some flowers home with her from work, continuing to design in her off hours, making arrangements for her home and to give to her closest friends.  In more recent years, as the cold set in and snow blanketed her yard, Sue looked forward to her annual winter trip with her husband, Mike, as snowbirds in Bradenton, Florida.

Throughout her life, Sue loved working on various craft projects, giving her work away to those she cared for.  In her younger years, she loved cross stitching, following patterns and creating some of her own to display on the walls of her home.  Her crafting skills spilled over into the kitchen, making meals and baking sweets for her family to enjoy.  She even took her culinary skills a step beyond, baking and decorating wedding cakes for her extended family.

Sue could be described as a giver, always putting the needs of her family and friends ahead of her own, often lighting up a room with her sense of humor.

Beloved wife of Michael A. Frangiosa.

Loving mother of Lisa Christine R. Frangiosa of Walpole and Michelle Lynn Simpson and her husband, Scott, of Richmond, Rhode Island.

Cherished grandmother of Jared Michael Simpson and Cassandra Jane Simpson.

Sister of the late Charles Kenneth Deane and his surviving wife, Betty Ann, of Walpole.

Also survived by her many cousins, friends, and her loving cat, Tuffy.
