Constance Lillian "Connie" Waldron, age 91, passed away in the Ocala Regional Medical Center in Florida on May 21, 2016. Born in Randolph, Massachusetts on January 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel (McCormick) Iverson. She was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Hyde Park High School with the Class of 1943.
Connie married her husband, Howard J. Waldron, in 1943 and since he was on active duty during war time, they made their home in Virginia. During his deployment, Connie returned to Massachusetts, where Howard joined her a few years later. They lived in Dedham before moving to Needham for a short time. Ultimately, Connie and Howard settled in Walpole, Massachusetts, where she raised her young family.
As a talented dancer, Connie opened the Friendly Dance Studio in Walpole, where she taught many children the arts of ballet, tap, and jazz dancing. As she began teaching gymnastics, in addition to dance, Connie renamed the school, the Academy of Dance Education and Gymnastics. After her retirement in 1987, she and Howard moved to Florida, spending a short time in North Miami Beach and later making their home at the Villages in Lady Lake. She loved staying active and began volunteering, teaching "Villagers" lessons in tap, ballet, jazz, clogging and Drill Team synchronization. Connie loved preparing for her annual shows under the names of Connie Waldron and Show Biz Productions. Her groups performed at Disney World, Silver Springs, The Villages' Town Squares, Club Group Functions, and at local area nursing homes.
While Connie did enjoy the spot light, she also enjoyed quiet time too, she was an avid reader, who had a deep commitment to her family. Her nurturing personality was demonstrated throughout all the care and support that she gave to them over the years.
