Concetta (Pinciaro) Franciosa, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022, in her East Walpole, Massachusetts home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pettorano, Sul Gizio, Italy, on September 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Crocifissa (Franciosa) Pinciaro. She spent her early years in Pettorano before immigrating to the United States of America with her family, entering the country through Ellis Island. After making their home for a short period of time in Boston's North End neighborhood, the family traveled up the east coast, making their home in Pittsfield, Maine, where Concetta was raised alongside her older sister, Mary, and younger brother, Cesidio.
Concetta married her beloved husband, Enrico Franciosa, on August 4, 1949. Together, the young couple made their home in East Walpole, Massachusetts, where Concetta took on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her four children. As a devoted wife and mother, Concetta's family always came first, using her skills to provide whatever they may have needed over the years. She spent countless hours cultivating her vegetable garden in the backyard, using her harvest to cook a wonderful meal for her family to enjoy. As a talented seamstress, she embraced her sewing skills to make clothing for her children and decorations for her home.
While home life kept her busy, Concetta also enjoyed a full social calendar. She was a long-time member of the Sons of Italy and enjoyed playing bocce at the Italian American Club in Walpole or bowling with her friends in local leagues. After a long week, Concetta looked forward to an evening of dinner and dancing with her husband, Enrico, and their close friends. Most of all, Concetta loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
