Colleen Horan O'Farrell

Colleen Horan O'Farrell age 39 years died in the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston Massachusetts after a courageous battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer on Thursday January 14, 2010.

She leaves behind her devoted husband Peter O'Farrell, her son Michael and her daughter Jacquelyn. Her loving parents Richard and Joan Horan of Arlington and her beloved sister Christine of Waltham. Her Grandmother Isabell Horan from Stoneham and many Aunts Uncles and cousins.

She grew up in Woburn and Arlington and was raising her family in Walpole.

Colleen was a member of the WFXT TV, Fox 25 news team for twelve years. What she loved about the job was the people she worked with were her friends not just coworkers.

Colleen's philosophy: "Live Life Play Hard" defined who she was. She confronted cancer head on, when she just 19 years old, but never let it stop her. She went on to marry the love of her life Pete O'Farrell and gave birth to two beautiful children. Michael who is 6 and Jacquelyn who is 5.

She lived everyday, as if it was a gift and lived it 24/7. Most importantly she was a passionate, dedicated mother to her children. But she also volunteered to things close to her heart; Camp Sunshine in Maine and the USS Massachusetts in Fall River. Her trips to Disney World were legendary. Nothing would stop her itinerary from being followed to the letter. Keep up or get left behind.

Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to meet at the funeral home on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 11AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 2-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
