Claire T. Whitty

Claire T. (Kerrissey) Whitty age 86 years died in the Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville, Massachusetts on Saturday, June 30, 2012. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 26, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Gates) Kerrissey. She graduated from Roxbury High School. She was a resident of Middleboro, Massachusetts and had formerly lived in Walpole for 20 years.

She worked as a clerk in the accounts receivable department of the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton for 20 years.

She was the Past President of the Widows Lifeline and was a member of the Norwood Senior Center.

Beloved wife of the late Frederick Whitty. Loving mother of Paul McCormick of Maryland, Brian McCormick of Middleboro, Kathy White of Newtonville, and Frank Whitty of Middleboro. Cherished grandmother of 4 and great grandmother of 1.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street E. Walpole on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 4-7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
