Claire Ellen Morris

Mrs. Claire Ellen (Carty) Morris age 86 years died in Northborough, Massachusetts on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 4, 1924, the daughter of Thomas J. and Ellen (Douglas) Carty. She graduated in 1943 from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.

A resident of Walpole for over 50 years moving here from N. Woburn. A retired Sales Associate for Lord & Taylors, Bloomingdales and Sears.

Mrs. Morris loved to socialize whether it be with her family or her neighbors. However her greatest joy came from her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of Charles J. Morris Loving mother of Donna Morris and her husband David Backus of Northboro, James J. Morris of Walpole, Judith and her husband Stephen Silverstein of Dartmouth, Robert and his wife Kristin Morris of Bridgewater and the late Charles J. Morris, Jr. Cherished grandmother of Ian Morris, Simon Morris, Meghan Haney, Jessica Morris, Meredith Morris, Thomas Backus, Kyle Morris, William Silverstein, Julia Silverstein, Elisabeth Silverstein, Emily Morris, Abby Morris, and Grace Morris. Devoted sister of James Carty, Mary Carty both of West Roxbury, the late Frederick Carty, the late Thomas Carty, the late Dorothy Carty, and the late Rita Balaschi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route #27) At Diamond Street Walpole on Saturday, July 30, 2011 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Friday, July 29, 2011 from 3pm to 7pm at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
