Chester Parasco age 90 years died in his East Walpole, Massachusetts home on Wednesday, August 05, 2009. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 28, 1918; he was the son of the late Eleftherios and Anastasia (Linardakis) Parasco. He graduated from Kent's Hill prepatory school and later from Boston University both with his Bachelor's Degree and his Law Degree. Mr. Parasco served his country during World War II as a corporal in the United States Army. He has been living in East Walpole for the past 50 years moving from Boston, Massachusetts.
He was a lawyer for Parasco and Worthington in Dedham, Massachusetts. He also served as Assistant Legal Counsel to Govenor Peabody.
Mr. Parasco was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Lions Club, the American Legion, and the VFW.
He served on both the Board of Selectmen, serving as chairman, and the Finance Committee in the Town of Walpole, Massachusetts. He also served on the Appropriation Committee and the Committee to Review the Town Charter and Bylaws, serving as the chairman of both.
Beloved husband of the late Loretta M. (Lynch) Parasco. Loving father of Chester Parasco, Jr. of Jamaica Plain. Brother of Martha Coombs-Fanti of NH and Theodora Valasunas of Cape Cod. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service that will be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, August 7, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Interment is in the East Walpole Cemetery.
