Chester Parasco, Jr., age 70, passed away in his Jamaica Plain home on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 5, 1947, he was the son of the late Chester and Loretta M. (Lynch) Parasco. He graduated from Governor Dummer Academy with the Class of 1965 and continued his education Middlebury College, earning his Bachelor's Degree in 1969. Chester later enrolled in the Union Theological Seminary in New York City, where he earned his Master's Degree in Divinity in 1973.
After graduation, Chester took a position with McLean Hospital in in Belmont, Massachusetts, working as a Mental Health Residential Counselor. While working at McLean, Chester resumed his education, studying at Cambridge in the United Kingdom and later earning his Sacred Theology License from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1995. He also attended the Boston College School of Divinity, graduating in 2006. Chester retired from McLean in 2014, after more than 40 years of dedicated service to the patients in several departments.
After his retirement, Chester took several pilgrimages to Europe and the Holy Land. Most recently, he became very involved as a volunteer with the Saint Francis House, through the Ignatian Volunteer Corp, a Jesuit service organization who seek to serve the needs of those who most need help during these critical times.

He is survived by a large close and loving family of cousins and aunts, as well as countless friends from several areas of his life who will all miss his kindness, great laugh, and overall wonderful uniqueness.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Chester's visitation on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, 97 South Street, Jamaica Plain on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the East Walpole Cemetery in East Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The American Diabetes Association, 260 Cochituate Road, Framingham, MA 01701.
