Charles F. Tannler

CHARLES F. TANNLER AGE 81 YEARS DIED IN THE YOUVILLE HOSPITAL IN CAMBRIDGE ON Saturday, AUGUST 19, 2006. Born in Paterson, NJ on October 17, 1924, the son of the late Robert & Antoinette (Mattal) Tannler.

He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in China, India, and during World War II.

Mr. Tannler graduated from the University of the State of New York in 1948 and then went on to Georgetown University, studying there from 1948 through 1950 earning a B.S. in Public and Business Administration.

He worked as a the Assistant Fiscal Manager for UCOM Motion Picture Service, in Nuremberg, Germany from 1950 to 1951, then he went to work for the Welch Grape Juice Co. in Westfield, New York from 1951-1953, later he worked for Carning Glass Co., in Parkersburg, West Virginia from 1953-1968. Mr. Tannler also worked for Olin Corp., in Alton, Illinois, from 1960-1970. Finally he went to work for Dennison Manufacturing Co. in Framingham, Massachusetts where he was the Manufacturing Manager from 1970-1989, and he retired from there.

Mr. Tannler enjoyed Hunting, golf, oil painting, and restoring furniture, and refered to himself as the "helper outer".

Beloved husband of Lucy M. (Argentieri) Tannler Loving father of Robert N. Tannler of Medfield, Joan M. Miner of Medfield, Barbara L. White of Holliston, and the late Gregory C. Tannler. Cherished grandfather of 10.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Edward the Confessor Church Route 27 Medfield on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 @ 10. Visiting hours are Monday, August 21, 2006, from 4pm to 8pm at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield, Massachusetts. Memorial donations may be made to: Dana Farber Cancer Institute 44 Binney Street Boston, Massachusetts 02115.
