Charles Martin Rozanski

November 5, 1924 — January 28, 2010

Charles Martin Rozanski age 85 years died in the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday, January 28, 2010. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 5, 1924; he was the son of the late Oktavia and Mary (Chmielewski) Rozanski. He was raised and educated in Boston, Massachusetts. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1967.

He was a Captain on the Boston Fire Department Marine Division for 35 years; retiring in 1989.

Mr. Rozanski was a member of the Walpole Knights of Columbus Council 1319, the Norwood Italian Mens Lodge 1235, the Polish National Club in Dorchester, and the Sons of Italy.

Beloved husband of Lucy E. (Farretta) Rozanski and the late Estelle (Neely) Rozanski. Loving father Claire Maypother of Worcester, Charles M. Rozanski of Raleigh, North Carolina and Kathleen Hennessey of Maine Cherished grandfather of Russell Arey of Berwick, ME, Robert Arey of St. George, ME, Karmen Estelle Leary of Walpole, Richard Maypother, and Erin Maypother both of Worcester. Brother of the late Frederick Rozanski and Mildred Rozanski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 2-6PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to: Walpole Area VNA P.O. Box 252 Walpole, Massachusetts 02081.
