Charles F. Jerome

April 12, 1919 — March 25, 2006

MR. CHARLES F. JEROME, AGE 86 YEARS DIED ON SATURDAY, MARCH 25TH, 2006 IN THE CARITAS NORWOOD HOSPITAL, NORWOOD, MASSACHUSETTS. Born in Hoyloke, Massachusetts, he was a 1937 graduate of South Hadley High School. He entered into the United States Army and served his country during World War II, he had served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater, with the 19th Armored Infantry Battalion.

Upon his return from the Army he went to work for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 103 Boston. He was there for almost 40 years retiring in 1982. During that time he returned to school and earned degrees from both Wentworth Institute in 1951 and the Union Electrical School in 1953.

A resident of Norfolk since 1955 moving there after spending 7 years in Norwood. Once Mr. Jerome arrived in Norfolk, he began his career in local politics. He was a committed opponent and believed 100% in his chosen cause.

A member and past president of the Local #103 Retirees Club, Member of the DAV in Norwood Chapter #91. A member of the VFW Norman Prince Post and the Norfolk American Legion Post.

Beloved husband of the late Madalene E. (Sears) Jerome Loving father of Judith Jerome of Methuen and Susan Stoddard of NY Cherished grandfather of 7 Brother of the late George and Arthur Jerome, and Louise Summers

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Tuesday March 28th, 2006 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Monday 4-8 PM. Interment in Knollwood Memorial Park Canton. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 311 Arsenal Street Watertown, Massachusetts.
