Celia Colicchio, age 94, passed away in Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts on Friday, April 21, 2017. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Marie (Dipertro) Crognalo. She was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts and graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1940.
One year after her graduation, Celia married her husband, Ralph Colicchio, on April 4, 1941 in Seabrook, New Hampshire. The young couple made their home together on Pemberton Street in Walpole. In 1958, Celia and Ralph settled into their home in Foxborough, where they raised their family. As her children grew up, Celia began working at Fernandes Market as a cake decorator. After 15 years at Fernandes, Celia went on to take a position with the Foxboro Company. She worked as a solderer for 10 years, retiring in 1984. Celia remained in Foxborough until 2010, at which time she settled in Attleboro.
Throughout her lifetime, Celia kept a very busy social calendar. She loved ballroom dancing, bowling at the Highway-Bowlway, and playing bocce at the Italian American Club. She also enjoyed her quiet time, tending to her garden and working with ceramics. Celia and her husband loved traveling the world together, some of their most memorable trips included Germany, Italy, and Hawaii.

Loving mother of Diane M. Roma of Plymouth, Carol A. Lawton of Plainville, and Deborah S. Colicchio of South Attleboro.
Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Deenah-Jean, Richard, Lisa, and Paul, and great grandmother of 8.
Sister of the late Joseph Crognalo, Ralph Crognalo, Tony Crognalo, Jean Crognalo, and Lena McPherson.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Celia's visitation on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 10-11 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
