Carole E. Pereira

Carole E. Pereira age 76 years died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Saturday, May 30, 2009. She was born in Havana, Cuba on September 30, 1932. She graduated from Watertown High School in Watertown, Massachusetts with the class of 1950. She later went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with the class of 1986. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 30 years moving from Watertown.

She worked for the Raytheon Company in Norwood for 25 years beginning as an executive secretary before moving into the credit and collections department. Prior to working at Raytheon, she worked for the Boston Insurance Center as an executive secretary.

She was a member of and the treasurer for the Walpole Women's Club, a member of both the adult choir and funeral choir at Blessed Sacrament Church, and a member of and treasurer for the Walpole Council on Aging. She was also involved with MSPCA, the Humane Society of the US, the Paralized Veterans of America, the Scleroderma Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.

Devoted daughter of Mary L. (Boggia) Pereira of Walpole and the late Manuel S. Pereira. Sister of Dolores A. and her husband Nicholas Efthim of Walpole. Cherished aunt of Carole and her husband Michael O'Rourke of Medway, and great aunt of Nicholas and Jill O'Rourke both of Medway.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 3-7PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole, Massachusetts.
