Carol Ann (Guy) Michetti, age 62, passed away peacefully in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Friday, March 9, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on November 26, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Hilaire G. and Alice F. (Martel) Guy. She was raised in North Smithfield, Rhode Island and graduated from Saint Clare's High School in Woonsocket with the Class of 1973. After graduation, Carol enrolled in the respiratory therapist program at the Rhode Island Hospital, graduating in 1975. She worked at the Rhode Island Hospital for a short time before taking a position with Pawtucket Memorial Hospital.
Carol married her beloved husband, Lawrence Michetti, on September 11, 1977 in the Queen of Martyr's Church in North Smithfield. The young couple initially made their home together in Franklin, Massachusetts, before settling in Walpole in 1978, where they raised their family.
Carol went on to take a position with Southwood Hospital in Norfolk, working as a respiratory therapist, however once Southwood closed its doors, she quickly found work at Norwood Hospital. She retired in June of 2016 after 29 years of dedicated service to the patients of Norwood Hospital.
Throughout her life, Carol loved to travel, she and Larry took many trips together, including trips to Florida, California, Canada, and Europe. They traveled to Italy several times and just recently returned to Florida to visit Disney World. Back at home, Carol enjoyed cooking, making the best biscotti; collecting the latest technological gadgets; and catching up on the most recent crime shows and episodes of Judge Judy. As a lover of animals, Carol loved watching the local birds around her home and feeding the hummingbirds that would return to her yard every year. Above all, Carol was most famous for her knitting skills. She made hundreds of Christmas stockings for her relatives, friends, and neighbors. Anytime she heard about a family growing with a wedding or the welcoming of a new baby, she put her skills to work to create a custom stocking.
Carol lived a beautiful life, full of love and friendship. She was a good-hearted woman who will be greatly missed.
