Carmen Elvira Rissetto

Carmen Elvira (Mundo) Rissetto, age 70, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts, with her loving husband, John, by her side.  Born in Puerto Rico on January 25, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Mundo and Delia Rodriguez.  As a baby, Carmen's family made their home in the Spanish Harlem neighborhood of New York.  She went on to settle in the Throggs Neck neighborhood of the Bronx and took a position with Con Edison, working as a computer programmer.

Carmen married her beloved husband, John A. Rissetto, and together, the couple made their home in Tappan, New York.  She loved spending time with John, enjoying horseback riding, snow tubing, and dancing the night away.  While she was always seeking fun, Carmen truly centered her life around her faith.  She was a devoted Catholic, attending church every week, often serving her spiritual family as a eucharistic minister.  Her career with Con Edison continued for many years, providing dedicated service to the company until her retirement in 2008.

A couple of years after her retirement, Carmen and John packed up and headed west, making their home in Sedona, Arizona in 2011.  While home was in Arizona, Carmen and John looked forward to various trips, visiting destinations in Alaska and Hawaii, usually finding some adventure along the way.  Back at home, the couple enjoyed a night out, learning how to line dance and western dance or traveling up to Las Vegas to catch a show.  More recently, Carmen and John traveled back east, making their home in Walpole, Massachusetts and finding their spiritual home at Blessed Sacrament Church.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Carmen's visitation on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street in Walpole.

All are invited to gather in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 9:30 AM, prior to Carmen's Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole at 10:30 AM.  Interment will take place privately in New York.
