Carmela G. Sawyer

Carmela G. (Carchedi) Sawyer age 79 years died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Thursday, June 27, 2013. Born in Norwood on August 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Mary G. (Cirillo) Carchedi. She graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1951. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 45 years moving from Norwood, where she had lived for 19 years.

She was a quality control operator at the Polaroid Company in Norwood for 16 years, retiring in 1993.

Most of all she will be remembered as a loving, caring mother and grandmother.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas R. Sawyer, Sr. Loving mother of Mary G. McMahon of Foxboro, Mark J. Sawyer, Joseph M Sawyer both of Walpole and the late Thomas R. Sawyer, Jr. Cherished grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 2. Sister of Barbara Clinton of Norwood, Joanne Nelson of AZ, Joseph Carchedi of Easton, Ralph Carchedi of Revere, Lorraine Coyne of Dennis, Mary Jane Bruce of Marston Mills, and the late Kay Coughlin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 2-6 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
