Camilla M. (Regan) McLaughlin, age 82, passed away in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Monday, December 14, 2015 surrounded by her family. Born in Brighton, Massachusetts on September 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James J. and June Marie (Twombly) Regan. She was raised in Brighton and graduated from Saint Aiden's High School in Brookline with the Class of 1951. Camilla continued her education at the Boston Clerical School. After earning her Associates degree, she took a position as a secretary with Raytheon in their Waltham location.
Camilla married her husband, Charles J. "Buddy" McLaughlin on September 8, 1956 in Saint Columbkille Church in Brighton. They initially made their home in Brighton and later spent some time living in Allston, before settling in Walpole in 1959. After moving to Walpole, Camilla transitioned to the role of a homemaker to raise and care for her young family. As a devoted family woman, Camilla loved hosting and attending functions with her extended family. She would make regular trips with her own young family to visit relatives in Gilford, New Hampshire, Farmington, New Hampshire, and Marshfield, Massachusetts.
As her family grew, Camilla enjoyed summering in Old Orchard Beach in Maine, where she loved sitting on the quiet early morning beach and swimming in the ocean. She loved staying busy too, enjoying cooking, baking, sewing and crafts and using her natural talents to grow flowers and vegetables in her garden.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends, whether for a cup of coffee or lunch. She shared a special relationship with Buddy.
