After Pete took an engineering position with the Northrup Grumman Corporation, he and Jeanne purchased their home on Davis Street in Walpole in 1959. Pete's career at Northrup Grumman flourished and he became the manager in charge of the manufacturing engineering department, overseeing the 45 engineers on the line making gyros for airplanes. He retired in 1994, after an extensive 36-year long career.
After his retirement, he became active in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) in Norwood as well as the Easton Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and could always be found on his Honda Goldwing whenever he got the urge to hit the road.
