Bertha Huntress

Bertha Huntress passed away July 23, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, New Hampshire. A lifelong resident of Walpole, Massachusetts; she graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1939.

She was married to the late Stephen P. Huntress, Sr. for 56 years. Bertha was pre deceased by her oldest son Stephen P. Huntress, Jr., her parents Marie (Ott) and Charles Buckman, her sister Maude Woodward, and her brothers Edward Clark, Herbert Buckman, William Buckman, Charles Buckman, and Frederick Buckman. She is survived by her daughter Jean Shaw and her husband Arnold of Maine and her youngest son Clark and his wife Tracy of Florida. Also survived by two sisters Dorothy Dumas of Maine and Edna and her husband James Buckley of Walpole, a sister in law Mary Lou Buckman of Franklin, and a daughter in law Carol Huntress. Bertha was the grandmother of 12, great grandmother of 33, and great great grandmother of 10.

A private graveside service was held in the West Walpole Plains Cemetery in Walpole, Massachusetts. Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home Walpole.
