Bartholomew J. Glancy

Bartholomew J. (Bart) Glancy of Walpole, formerly of Needham, died unexpectedly January 20, 2011 at his home.

He was the beloved son of Patricia and the late Frank Glancy of Needham. He is survived by his siblings, Frank and his wife Kathleen of Pembroke; Virginia and her husband Alan Crosby of Sudbury; and John and his wife Susan of Walpole. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Matthew Glancy of Pembroke; Sara Crosby Herchenroether of NY, Amy, Michael, and Patrick Crosby of Sudbury; and Ian and Bart Glancy of Walpole.

He was a graduate of Xaverian Brothers High School and Babson College; longtime member of Needham Golf Club. He was a devoted son, loving brother, and a faithful friend to many. He will be missed terribly.

Funeral from the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Friday, January 28, 2011. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church Walpole at 10AM. The family will be available before the mass from 8:30 - 9:30AM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Walpole Police Department 972 Main Street Walpole, MA 02081 or a charity of your choice.
