Mrs. Barbara W. (Hogan) Steinbacher age 80 years died in her Franklin home on Thursday evening, June 14th, 2007. Born on November 22, 1926, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Frank and Harriet (Ellis) Hogan. She was a 1944 graduate of Charlestown High School, and later attended and graduated from the Henry O. Peabody School in Norwood , with a degree in Medical Transciption.

A resident of Franklin since 2002, having lived in East Walpole for 50 years

She was a homemaker , once her family had grown she worked for Dr. Bolton and Dr. Reichard in Norwood. Mrs. Steinbacher enjoyed cooking, baking, Music especially jazz and show tunes. She loved to read. Her greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren and her friends. This was proven by her friendship with her maid of honor and her life long friendship with Dorothy Wallace of Charlestown.

Beloved wife of the late George F. Steinbacher Loving mother of Kathleen Davis and her husband Michael of Stone Mountain, Georgia, John G. Steinbacher and his wife Patricia of North Attleboro, Jean E. Peterson and her husband Edmund of Franklin, Mary-Anne Marold and her husband Kenneth of Providence, RI, George G. Steinbacher of North Attleboro, and Andrew C. Steinbacher and his wife Jennifer of Franklin. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Jennifer, Nicole, Allan, Kenneth, Jason, Kristen, Laura, Brigitta, and Shelbi Great grandmother of Noelle, and Sydney. Sister of Margaret Olson of Sommerville, Mary Smith of Holbrook, the late Frank Hogan, the late Ellinor Blanchard, the late Elizabeth Gonyou and the late Charles Hogan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 @ 10 AM. Visiting hours are Monday, June 18, 2007 from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole, Massachusetts.
