Barbara J. (Pascoe) Gilbert age 88 years died in the Wingate at Needham Nursing Facility in Needham, Massachusetts on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Born in Brighton, Massachusetts on August 6, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Treglown) Pascoe. She graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1938. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1947 moving from Norwood, Massachusetts.

She worked as a Key Punch Operator for the Norfolk County Trus in Walpole, Massachusetts for 20 years retiring in 1982.

Mrs. Gilbert enjoyed working on crafts, quilting, cross stitching, sewing, knitting, making hook rugs, and animals; she, however, especially enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was a long time member of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Walpole.

Beloved wife of the late Edric J. Gilbert. Loving mother of Edric "Rick" J. Gilbert of Wellfleet, Roger B. and his wife Sally Gilbert of Framingham, Margaret J. Marshall of Mansfield, Patricia J. and her husband William MacLeod of Norton, and Linda B. Gilbert of Norwood. Cherished grandmother of Amy Brown of Franklin, Christine Marshall of Mansfield, and Laurie Manchester of Mansfield and great grandmother of Melinda Marshall, Victoria Marshall, Robert Manchester, Dylan Jordan, Connor Brown, and Cameron Brown. Sister of Frances Duncan of Walpole, the late Harry Pascoe, and the late Evelyn Pascoe. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service that will be held in the Epiphany Episcopal Church 62 Front Street Walpole on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 5-7PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, Massachusetts.
