Barbara Carpentieri

Barbara (Cardinale) Carpentieri age 87 years died in the Harrington House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walpole, Massachusetts on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Born in Trevico, Italy on September 29, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Umberto and Mariantonia (Addimandi) Cardinale. She came to the United States in 1952 and made her home in Walpole.

Sh was primarily a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. However, she worked in both the Schaeffer's Paper Mill in Walpole and the Max Suvall Paper Mill in North Attleboro.

She was a Communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, baking, cooking, gardening, and was an avid reader. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Beloved wife of the late Giovambattista Carpentieri. Loving mother of Luigi Carpentiero of Winthrop, Joseph Carpentiero of Walpole, Maria A. Carpentieri of Cumberland, RI, Antonia Carpentieri of Walpole, Donna Lee Mahoney of Walpole, and Anna Carpentieri of Portland, OR. Cherished grandmother of 4. Sister of Rocco Cardinale of Italy and Maria Cardinale of Italy.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
