Audrey E. (Roberts) Cafferty, age 87, died in the Thomas Upham House in Medfield, Massachusetts on Friday, June 12, 2015, after a lengthy illness. Born in Cranston, Rhode Island on October 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lena M. (Fenner) Roberts. She was raised in Cranston and graduated from Cranston High School with the class of 1945.
She married the love of her life, Edward H. Cafferty on June 29, 1946 and together they made their home in Norwood, Massachusetts, where they lived for 40 years. As a devoted wife and mother, Audrey spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. In 1995, Audrey and her husband moved to Dover.
Audrey was a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (Mayflower Society) and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She took great pride in being able to trace her own lineage back to both of these major events in American History.
She had a love for shopping and was an avid reader. Most of all, Audrey loved spending time with her family. She loved hosting family dinners and spending time with her seven grandchildren and eight great granddaughters.

Loving mother of Edward Cafferty Jr, and his wife Susan of Vermont, Carol Cianfrocca and her husband Peter of Medfield, and Karen Hilyard and her husband Jeff of Merrimack, NH.
Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and eight great granddaughters.
A private prayer service will be held for immediate family on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Interment will follow in Saint Ann's Cemetery in Providence, Rhode Island.
