Assunta DeMarco

Assunta (Valente) DeMarco, 80, of Walpole, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruno M. DeMarco, Sr.

Born in Caramanico, Italy on March 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria Valente, sister of the late Leonardo Valente. She immigrated to the Waltham, Mass in 1955, and married Bruno M. DeMarco, Sr. of San Vittorino Italy, becoming a long time resident of Walpole, Mass. She was a seamstress by trade, full time homemaker and Mother of 6 boys. She enjoyed family gatherings, dedicating most of her life raising her children, cooking traditional Italian cuisine and baking delicious Italian holiday pastries. She loved her family very much and enjoyed watching her Grandchildren grow through the years.

She is survived by her children, Bruno M. DeMarco, Jr. of Walpole, Angelo DeMarco and his wife, Kathleen of Millis, Antonio DeMarco and his wife Francesca of Walpole, Joseph DeMarco and Barbara Braccio of Southborough, and John DeMarco and his wife Tracy of Bellingham; and the late Adriano A. DeMarco. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, Luke, Harrison, Tristan, Nicholas, Jacob, Cameron, Connor, Raymond, Alexandra and Evita.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Assunta's Life Celebration on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 4-7 PM and Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
