Arthur J. Taylor

January 25, 1928 — June 19, 2009

Arthur J. "Jack" Taylor, Jr. age 81 years died in the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts on June 19, 2009. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on January 25, 1928., he wasa the son of the late Arthur J. and Margaret A. (Goodfellow) Taylor. He graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1945. He was a life long resident of Walpole.

He worked as a Custodian for the Walpole Public Schools for 30 years retiring in 1982. In addition to working for the schools he was a volunteer firefighter at the Walpole Fire Department for 42 years, a bus driver at Michael J. Connelly and Sons Bus Company for 52 years and would regualrly drive the Walpole sports teams,

Mr. Taylor worked at the concession stand at the Walpole High School football games, as well as ran the popcorn machine for the Concerts on the Common.

He loved Walpole Sports especially American Legion Baseball and hockey; he also enjoyed traveling, especially to see his family.

Beloved husband of Madeline M. (Marinucci) Taylor. Loving father of Elizabeth Stadnik of Lincoln, RI, Barbara Taylor of N. Attleboro, Robert Taylor of Tomball, TX, John Taylor of Mansfield, and James Taylor of Walpole. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Michael, Danielle, Courtney, Emily, Jill, and Molly and great grandfather of Brandon. Brother of Margaret E. Albee of Walpole, Joan E. Bruno of Mansfield, Carole A. Vernanzaro of Norwood, and the late Robert Taylor. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole, Massachusetts.
