Arthur M. Tappin

Arthur M. Tappin age 79 years died in his Walpole home on Sunday, June 22, 2008. Born in Athol, Massachusetts, he graduated from Winchendon High School with the class of 1946, and later went on to attend Becker College. He served his country after World War II in the United States Army, taking part in the occupation of Germany. He has been living in Walpole for the past 50 years moving here from Winchendon.

Mr. Tappin worked as an inspector for the Insurance Services Office for 25 years.

He was a member of the Masons Lodge in Winchendon.

Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Stearns) Tappin. Loving father of David S. Tappin of Walpole and Dianne R. Sullivan of Bellingham. Cherished grandfather of Robert Tappin, Marjorie Tappin, Joe Sullivan, and Mark Sullivan. Brother of Arnold Tappin of NV, Nancy Harper of Fitchburg, and the late Richard Tappin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A funeral service will be held in the Fletcher-Hebert Funeral Home 70 Pleasant Street Winchendon on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 10AM.
