Loving father of Elizabeth Reid and her husband John of Walpole, Virginia Turnbull and her husband Brian of The Villages, FL, Susan Handy, ret. BPD, and her husband Ernest of Mashpee, and Linda Godfrey and her husband Thomas of Walpole.
Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Ginn, John Reid, Elizabeth Jorczak, Hilary Turnbull, James Turnbull, Grace Handy, Matthew Godfrey, and Connor Godfrey.
Great Papa of Ryan, Olivia, and Chloe Ginn, and Isaac and Emmett Jorczak.
Beloved brother of Thomas McNamara, ret. BPD, of Medford, Dorothy McNamara of Boston, the late Emmett McNamara, ret. BPD, the late Virginia McKinnies, the late Lawrence McNamara, ret. BPD, the late Evelyn Giannotti, and the late James McNamara, ret. BPD.
Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends, including cherished friends at the Community at Pond Meadow in Wrentham.

Retired Boston Police Detective, founding member of the Boston Police Emerald Society, WWII US Coast Guard Veteran, and retired director of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association (DESA).

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Arthur's visitation on Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 10-10:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Friday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
