Antonio DeSantis, age 87, passed away in his Walpole, Massachusetts home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Introdacqua, Italy on November 22, 1930, he was the son of the late Franco and Maria (Matese) DeSantis. Tony was raised and educated in Italy, before immigrating to Venezuela after the end of World War II. Tony then immigrated to Massachusetts after seven years in Venezuela.
Tony briefly returned to Introdacqua where he married his beloved wife, Rosa, on June 11, 1961 and the young couple then made their home together in Dorchester Massachusetts. As his career as a crane operator began to develop, Tony moved his young family to Walpole, Massachusetts in 1971. He retired in 1992, after many years of dedicated work.
He enjoyed gardening in the summers, and was especially proud of his beautiful tomatoes, which he loved to share. He also loved and looked forward to his weekly visits with his brothers and making wine annually. He loved company and was always welcoming to the guests in his home.

Loving father of Francine Gordon and her husband Jim of Virginia, Dianne DeSantis and Joseph DeSantis both of Walpole.
Brother of Eraldo DeSantis of Braintree, Feliciano DeSantis of Marshfield, Anna DiCenso of Braintree, Filomena Amatengelo of Italy, and the late Elena Iudiciani.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Tony's Life Celebration on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM and Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 9 to 9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery in Boston.
