Mr. Anthony Angelo Ciavattone age 83 years died in the Golden Living Center in Norwood, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 2nd, 2012. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 8th, 1928, he was the son of the late Ralph and Adeline (Tirone) Ciavattone.

He has been a resident of Foxborough, Massachusetts since 1992 moving there from Walpole where he lived for 21 years.

He was a member of Union Local 4, Heavy Equipment Operators. He worked for the Union for over 43 years and retired in 1990.

Tony was an Associate Member of the Walpole VFW Post 5188. He enjoyed all types of fishing, from fresh water fishing to deep sea fishing. He loved his vegetable and his flower gardens, he loved the beach, but his greatest joy was attending sporting and school events with his grandchildren. His family was everything to him, he loved the conversations they had about sports, politics and everything in between.

Loving father of Anthony A. and his wife Susan Ciavattone of Norwood, Michael Ciavattone of Plainville, Daniel and his wife Lindsay Ciavattone of North Attleboro, and Jill Ciavattone and her fiance Robert Fedor of Walpole, the late Lynne Brides and the late Lisa A. Ciavattone. Cherished grandfather of 9, great grandfather of 5. Brother of Ralph Ciavattone of Arlington, Norma Lanoue of Mansfield, the late Lilyan Gaeta and the late Francis Ciavattone. Companion of Patricia (McDonald) Ciavattone

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Memorial Service that will be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 5pm. Visiting hours are Friday, September 7, 2012 from 3pm to 5pm in the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
