Anne D. Orecchio

Anne D. (Ciriello) Orecchio age 79 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Born in Boston on May 30, 1929 to her parents Vincent and Giovanina (Napolitano) Ciriello, she graduated from Hyde Park High School. She went on to attend Northeastern University. She had been living in Norfolk for the past 4 years moving from Walpole where she lived for 42 years.

She worked in the insurance industry for 40 years at Alexander and Alexander Insurance Agency and USF&G Insurance Company. Most recently she worked at Reliance Insurance Company as the senior underwritter for all of New England selling personal, home, automotive and commercial insurance.

She was a volunteer at Norwood Hospital for 14 years as well as the Old Post Road School in Walpole for 4 years. She also sang in the choir at Saint Timothy's Church in Norwood.

Mrs. Orecchio enjoyed ballroom dancing at the Legion in Norwood and Lucianos Lake Pearl in Wrentham. She also enjoyed gardening growing both flowers vegetables, singing, and cooking.

Beloved wife of John J. Orecchio. Loving mother of Michael L. and his wife Sheila Orecchio of Attleboro, John V. Orecchio of Walpole, and David P. and his wife Lisa Orecchio of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Michelle Orecchio of Attleboro, Thomas Orecchio of Attleboro, Paul Orecchio of Walpole and Brian Orecchio of Walpole. Sister of Helen Spranza of Williamsburg, VA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street E. Walpole on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11AM. Visiting hours are Friday, October 3, 2008 from 2-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, Massachusetts.
