Anne M. McGrail

Anne (MacNeil) McGrail, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at her home in Walpole, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Gillis) MacNeil. Anne was raised in Dorchester and attended Mount Saint Joseph's Academy in Brighton on scholarship, graduating with the Class of 1951.

Loving mother of Michael McGrail of Mansfield, Daniel McGrail of Walpole, Kathleen Nordstrom and her husband, Eric, of Walpole, Maureen Brown and her partner, Todd Demers, of Connecticut, Anne Marie Lavanchy and her husband, Gene, of Walpole, Sheila McGrail of Plymouth, and Mary Ellen Barry and her husband, Christopher, of Dedham. Cherished grandmother of Garrett, Andrew and Ryan Nordstrom, Jason Brown, and Matthew, Jack, Brett and Lauren Lavanchy. Sister of Betty Harvey and her husband Jim of North Weymouth, Charlotte Mastroianni of Milford, Joan Ruggiero of South Lawrence, and the late Helen Brandon of Hingham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

At the request of Anne’s family, all services will be private, with interment taking place in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
