Anne Rita Kenney

Anne Rita (O'Brien) Kenney age 89 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 26, 1918 to her parents Bernard & Ellen (Walsh) O'Brien, she was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Saint Gregory's Catholic High School. Mrs. Kenney had recently moved to Franklin form Walpole where she had been living since 1952. She moved to Walpole from Boston.

She worked as a secretary at the Pondville Hospital in the Social Services Department for 15 years, retiring in 1983.

Mrs. Kenney was an active volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program.

Beloved wife of the late Walter F. Kenney. Loving mother of Steven P. Kenney of Wrentham, Ellen M. Glynn of Wareham, Walter F. Kenney of Falmouth, Mary Anne Mailman of Franklin, the late Brian M. Kenney, and the late Mark G. Kenney. Cherished grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 3. Sister of Alice O'Brien of Venice, FL, and the late Mary Burns, Kay Campbell, Ellen Nyhan, John O'Brien, and Joseph O'Brien. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church E. Walpole on Saturday, November 10, 2007 @ 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, November 9, 2007 from 4-7PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole.
