Anne F. Hutt

Anne F. (Griffin) Hutt, age 95, passed away in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on October 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Abbie (Fitzgerald) Griffin. She was raised in Somerville and graduated from Saint John's Catholic High School with the Class of 1939. She went on to attend the Wyndham Secretarial School, earning a certificate in 1940. After graduation, Anne took a position with the Liberty Mutual Company in Boston.

Anne married her husband, William Stratton Hutt, on June 15, 1946, in Saint Clements Church in Somerville. Together they made their home in Somerville and Anne transitioned to the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her young family. In 1955, Anne and William settled in Hudson, Massachusetts with their children, where they spent 48 years together. As Anne and William grew older, they moved to Walpole, Massachusetts, to be closer to their family.

Anne and William had a long and happy life together. They enjoyed taking trips to Florida and loved visiting Ireland. Most of all, Anne was happy to be at home, surrounded by the ones that she loved.

Loving mother of Eileen M. Nicholas of Plainville, Kathleen M. Peters and her husband Arthur of Bolton, Maureen Clement and her husband Kevin of Austin, Texas, William P. Hutt and his wife Laura of Franklin, and Deborah A. Duffy and her husband Michael of Walpole.
Cherished grandmother of twelve, great grandmother of ten and great-great grandmother of one.
Sister of the late Margaret Sheehan, Mary Griffin, Rita Cunningham, Theresa Dezotell, and James Griffin.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Anne's Memorial Mass on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole. Interment will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, Walpole.
