Anita A. Restaino

Anita A. (DeSena) Restaino passed away on January 23, 2017. Born on February 5, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Anthony R. and Maria (Napoli) DeSena. Anita was a longtime resident of Walpole and graduate of the Class of 1958. Loving wife of the late Domenic Restaino Jr. Cherished mother of Lisa Johnson, her husband Michael, Domenic Restaino III, his wife Maria, Anthony Restaino, his wife Debra. Adored Grammy of Nicole Dupree, her husband Ricky, Michael Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Domenic Restaino IV, Cayden, Cassius and Cecelia Dupree. Sister in law of Celia Dei of Mansfield and the late Ann Restaino of Foxboro.

Anita had a strong presence in her beloved hometown of Walpole. She took pride in her civic duty working the election polls for many years. Alongside her husband, Domenic, Anita was a vital part of the Walpole little league program., which led to the dedication of the West Street baseball complex, Domenic R. Restaino Jr. memorial field.

Anita was a devout catholic and regular parishioner at St. Jude's catholic church.

Anita was a longtime member of the Italian American Club, where she loved playing bocce and had served as president of the women's league in the past. Her best friends have deemed her "bocce queen".

Anita had the most wonderful sense of humor and was always willing to help out anyone in any way that she could.

In her spare time she enjoyed summers on cape cod, spending Sundays watching the Patriots with her family, participating in bible study and spending "special" Fridays with her great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are kindly to attend Anita's Life Celebration on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM and Friday, January 27, 2017 from 9 to 9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Jude's Church, 86 Main St Norfolk on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
