Angie “Cathy” Catherine Harrington, age 96, passed away on September 25, 2024, at Care Dimensions in Lincoln, Massachusetts. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts on August 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Angie (Covey) Eno.
Cathy married her first husband, Eugene Hanley Jr. in 1948 and made their married home in Roxbury, MA. She was a devoted and talented homemaker, lovingly raising her son “Butch.”
After the unexpected loss of Eugene, Cathy and Butch moved to Walpole. It was there that she met and married her second husband Ernest C. Harrington Jr. in March of 1975. Cathy also became a stepmother to four wonderful children. She always made sure her family was taken care of.
Cathy was an excellent cook, and her spaghetti and meatballs were unmatched. Her life was set to the tune of big band music, and she loved to dance, twirling across the dance floor whenever she got the chance. Cathy was artistic and painted beautiful landscapes which decorated the walls of her home. She learned hairdressing from a friend in Boston, a skill she used to style beautiful coiffures for herself and her friends. Cathy was always kind and happy, and very funny. She could always make someone laugh with the silly things she said or wiggling her tongue at you. Later in life, Cathy looked forward to spending time with Butch, enjoying Dunkin Donuts coffee and munchkins, and watching her favorite program "Blue Bloods" with her beloved cat.
