Angela M. Anderson

Angela M. (Micelotti) Anderson, age 90, died in the Village at Willow Crossing in Mansfield, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 1, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Donata (Lione) Micelotti. She was a graduate of the Roxbury Memorial High School. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1960 moving from Cranston, RI and previously New London, CT.

She worked as a travel agent for Dover Travel for 20 years, retiring in 1995. In addition, Angela worked as a waitress at the Red Wing in Walpole, Bickford’s in Sharon, and the Honolulu in Norwood.

As a member of the Italian American Club and the Italian American Women's Club, she enjoyed playing Bocce weekly at the Club in Walpole. In addition, she was a member of the Knit-Wit Club, enjoying both knitting and crocheting. Angela enjoyed volunteering her time every year at the Church Mice Fair in United Methodist Church in South Walpole. She also enjoyed painting, antiquing, home projects, cooking, reading, and traveling.

Beloved wife of the late Robert E. Anderson. Loving mother of Claudia S. Anderson and her life partner Richard Smith of Norwood, Robert E. Anderson, Jr. and his wife Cindy of North Attleboro, and Pamela M. Kinahan and her husband Fran of Foxborough. Cherished grandmother of Paige of Norwood, Stacey of Walpole, Jamie of East Longmeadow, Jeffrey of North Attleboro, and Brianna of Foxborough and great grandmother of Sarah and Alex. Sister of Esther Wolfe of Dedham, Anne Micelotti of Norwood, the late Joseph Micelotti and the late Nicholas "Nick" Micelotti.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Angela’s Life Celebration on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 4-7 PM and Friday, April 25, 2014 from 10-10:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
