Amanda Elizabeth Green, age 42, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at her home in Millis, Massachusetts. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 13, 1980, she was the beloved daughter of the late James R. Green and Carol A. McLaughlin.
Amanda lived a simple but beautiful life, full of love and laughter. She looked forward to a hot fudge sundae from JP Licks in Davis Square when venturing out for a walk with her family, practically vacuuming them down. Back at her group home, Amanda loved puppets, balloons, bubbles, books, music and engaging family and staff with gales of infectious laughter
Amanda is survived by her adoring family; her mother Carol and stepfather, Stephen Lickwar, of Marblehead, her stepmother, Janet Grogan, of Somerville, and her half-brother, Nicholas Green, of Somerville.
Cherished granddaughter of the late F. Thomas and Ann Mary (Carroll) McLaughlin and the late Gerald R. and Mary K. Green.
She is also survived by two aunts, one uncle, many cousins, and the loving staff at her group home in Millis.
Her family also wishes to thank the Hospice team that cared for Amanda in her final days. They offered her amazing medical and comfort care.
A memorial service for Amanda will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Amanda's family asks that memorial donations in her name be made to your local food bank. So many people don't have enough, and Amanda was fortunate to always have plenty.
