Alma L. Lawson

Mrs. Alma L. (Bowser) Lawson age 90 years died in the Ellis Nursing Center, Norwood, Massachusetts on Wednesday, January 17th, 2007. Born in Boston, Masssachusetts on October 31st, 1916, the daughter of the late Frank B. & Helen (Early) Bowser. She attended the Boston Public Schools and graduated from Girls High School in Roxbury.

Mrs. Lawson has been a resident of Westwood for the past 26 years, moving there from Dedham , where she lived for 16 years after moving from Jamacia Plain.

Mrs. Lawson was a caretaker for the Nuns that ran the Nazarath Childrens Home in Jamacia Plain. She was there for 20+ years and retired to Westwood in 1981.

She and her husband loved to travel, they toured the Northeastern United States , Prince Edward Island and she made 2 trips to Ireland. She loved crafts especially making wall hanging and decorating cakes. Any time she went to a gathering or a friends home, they all waited to see the cake she brought.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Lawson Loving mother of Lorraine M. Pomes of North Attleboro, Louise M. Nannicelli of Walpole Cherished grandmother of Cheryl Hughes, Philip Hughes, Jennifer Nannicelli, Jillian Nannicelli, Paul Nannicelli, Alex Nannicelli and great grandmother of 2. Sister of the late Helen Bowser, the late Gertrude Bowser, the late Martha Anderson, the late Frank Bowser, the late Claire Goss, and the late Paul Bowser.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Saint Margaret Mary's Church Route 109 Westwood on Monday Morning, January 22, 2007 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Sunday Afternoon, January 21, 2007 from 2-6 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole, Massachusetts 02081. Interment Brookdale Cemetery. Dedham, Massachusetts Memorial donations may be made to: Boston Catholic Television Center, Inc. Post Office Box 56 Newton, Massachusetts 02160.
