Allan J. DeBlasio age 56 years died in his Walpole home on Sunday, November 11, 2007. Born on June 30, 1951 in Waterbury, Conneticut, he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury with the class of 1969. He went on to graduated from RPI in Troy, New York in 1974 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Later he attended Northeastern, in Boston, Massachusetts and earned his degree in Public Administration. He had been living in Walpole for the past 7 years coming from Waltham, where he had been living for 29 years.
Mr. DeBlasio worked as a Project Manager for the United States Department of Transportation, at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He was a Cub Scout den leader, a member of the Walpole Emergency Communications Group, as well as a National Weather Service Weather Spotter.
He was a volunteer at thr Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton for 20 years
Mr. DeBlasio enjoyed spending time with his family on Family Day every Sunday.
Beloved husband of Eleanor K. (Pepin) DeBlasio. Loving father of Mary, Frankie, & Katie all of Walpole Devoted son of Frank and the late Mary (Yaconi) DeBlasio. Brother of Fran DeBlasio of Southbury, CT. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 @ 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 4-7PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole.
